Imagine strolling out to your mailbox one bright, sunny morning. You take out your usual mail - the coupons, the bills - and then you notice an interesting letter. As soon as you open the letter, you notice faint traces of a white powder blowing into the air. Days later, you're dead.

San Diego State professors are reaching out overseas to help rebuild the curricula of a university in Afghanistan.
The professors are working with Interwork Institute, which is a program funded by the SDSU Research Foundation. Currently, the program helps faculty at Nangarhar University in Afghanistan to develop a four-year English language program and reform the outdated engineering program.
The Ministry of Higher Education in Afghanistan is funding the project through a $4 million grant issued to them by the World Bank.
