Student Services Moved to Modular Village

Student Services in the I-400 building have been temporarily moved to a cluster of bungalows in Parking Lot #1 called the Modular Village. The move is in preparation for the planned remodeling of the Student Services Center.
The layout and accessibility issues that plague the current I-400 building will be remedied with the new design. The existing building will be completely demolished rather than partially renovated, with convenience being the top priority of the new structure. All student services will be consolidated within a setting that also provides new classrooms, technology stations and a café.
Demolition of the I-400 building's interior has already started. The entire reconstruction process is expected to be completed by January 2012.
The people in charge of relocating Student Services insist that "It takes a 'Modular' Village" to aid the construction process, however, several students are unhappy with how the 24-bungalow setup is being run.
While all services have been successfully relocated, there is still miscommunication between offices, causing people to bounce back and forth between different parts of the Modular Village. Some students are annoyed about having to travel to another office not located within the same building.
"It's a hassle to go between buildings," said San Diego Mesa College student Angie Zappia. "When visiting my counselor I went to one building to sign in, another to wait, and then another to finally meet the counselor."
Other students recognize the inconvenience, but remain unfazed as long as their needs are being met.
"It's not too bad," said student Mikey Scott. "You got to put in a little more effort to find what you're looking for, but at least the services are still available."
